Dr. Rabil
Drawing on first-hand accounts from his recent trips, Dr. Robert Rabil explores the complexities of the conflict in Ukraine and its implications for the Middle East.
A frequent participant in government-sponsored roundtable discussions and forums, Dr. Rabil is professor of Middle East studies at the Florida Atlantic University's Department of Political Science as well as the Distinguished Professor of Current Events for the university’s Lifelong Learning Society.
The author of dozens of peer-reviewed and commended articles and books, Dr. Rabil has been interviewed by British Broadcasting Company, C-SPAN, Fox News, MSNBC, National Public Radio, The New York Times and Wall Street Journal as well as other major media networks. He holds a master’s degree in government from Harvard University and his doctorate in Near Eastern and Judaic studies from Brandeis University.
“To achieve a more hopeful future, we cannot consign the lessons of the Holocaust to history,” said Leigh Routman, Executive Director of the Holocaust Learning Experience. “We must be active participants in the world around us. Dr. Rabil is an expert source on current events that impact Israel and we are pleased to partner with Congregation B’nai Israel to present this important discussion.”
The event is part of the Holocaust Learning Experience Showcase series presented by MorseLife NEXT GENERATIONS. Doors will open at 6 p.m. prior to Dr. Rabil’s discussion at 7 p.m. Tickets are $36 and are available at holocaustlearningexperience.org/Programs.
The mission of the Holocaust Learning Experience presented by MorseLife NEXT GENERATIONS is to be the premier Holocaust Educational Program in the State of Florida, dedicated to using the lessons of the Holocaust to enlighten and embolden present and future generations to be upstanders against bigotry and hate wherever it exists, fulfilling the moral imperative to NEVER FORGET.
