We think eggs are an essential part of any breakfast. Luckily, the folks at Yolk – a new Boca Raton eatery and the chain’s first South Florida location – agree wholeheartedly.
Yolk, which has enjoyed a cult-like following in Chicago, features eggs in ways that give new meaning to sunny-side up.
“At Yolk, we push the envelope with new and creative breakfasts, specialty juices and our own private label premium coffee,” notes the eatery’s website.
“I’m very excited to bring Yolk to Boca Raton and for it to become a place for locals to call their own,” says owner Taki Kastanis, who opened the first Yolk in Chicago in 2006, in a press release. “The Yolk experience is all about great food, unique dishes and fantastic service, delivered with a smile. We’ve always been the type of restaurant that people visit two or three times a week.”
The menu is a breakfast lover’s dream, with omelets, signature “scramblers” and build-your-own options galore. Favorites include Breakfast Mac & Cheese, comprising mac and cheese loaded with ham and bacon and topped with panko Parmesan crust and a sunny-side up egg, and the Cinnamon Roll French Toast, dipped in a secret batter, grilled and dusted with powdered sugar. The Hey Ricky! Omelet, with smashed avocado, chorizo, jalapeño, pepper jack and cheddar, is another must-try.
Want to kick up the flavor even more? Signature and habanero hot sauces are available.
Lunch is served here, too – and the offerings are just as diverse. Expect plenty of salads, along with sandwiches, including the Grilled Cheese Supreme, with tomato, bacon, and goat and cheddar cheese on grilled challah bread.
Yolk is located at Park Place, 5570 N. Military Trail, Ste. 402, Boca Raton. For more information, call 561-300-4965 or visit eatyolk.com.
