Boca Raton is now home to the newest Vale Food Co., its eighth in Florida so far. The 3,000-square-foot restaurant opened last month in The Shops at Boca Center.
An Old English word that means “to live an earthly life,” Vale offers a range of healthy dishes such as açai bowls, poke bowls and avocado toast found at its cold superfood station; build-your-own protein bowls and signature salads at the hot food station; a selection of grab-and-go snacks and bakery including freshly baked whole grain chocolate chip cookies as well as a wide range of drinks including coffee, kombucha and smoothies.
The build-your-own protein bowls allow guests to add on a variety of veggies, proteins, boosts and sauces. Signature bowls include: the Sweet Earth Bowl made with sweet potato noodles, roasted broccoli, teriyaki chicken and curry honey mustard; Out of This World Bowl with cilantro lime brown rice, buffalo cauliflower, ancho pulled chicken topped with chipotle ranch and the Califlorida Bowl with veggie quinoa, Buffalo cauliflower, Southwest chicken and avocado Caesar.
Signature salads are also available such as the Buffalo Chicken Salad; The Vale Kale Cobb and Avocado Greens Salad. All ingredients are sourced from local farms and menu items rotate seasonally with a selection of vegan and gluten-free options.
The company was founded in 2014 by CEO Sunny Ilyas. It started as a meal delivery service and opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Tallahassee in 2016. It has other locations in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Tampa, Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
