“Farm-to-table” takes on a whole new meaning at Swank Farm’s celebrated Swank Table events.
The 2019/2020 season of on-the-farm dinners – where celebrated chefs, mixologists and brewers collaborate – begins this month, benefiting local charities like Pathfinders of Martin and Palm Beach Counties, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center and Hands Together for Haitians.
More than 70 chefs from New Orleans to Maine create to-die-for meals at the 20-acre Loxahatchee farm, which is hydroponic and sustainable. The all-inclusive, all-local meals incorporate items from partner farms and just-picked Swank Farm vegetables as well as craft brews, wine and cocktails. On Sundays, guests can join a farm tour or wander the fields to get a firsthand look at a working farm.
Expect innovative fare from such chefs as Chef Jonathan Merry (River House, Damariscotta, Maine), Chef Margot McCormack (Margot’s Café, Nashville) and Chef Ricky Moore (Saltbox Seafood Joint, Durham, North Carolina).
If you’re a Swank Table regular, check out new events this season like Chefs For Sustainable Seafood, SHE Feasts – International Women’s Day Celebration and Mambo Italiano.
