Those seeking the glamorous setting and exquisite cuisine of the southern Italian coast will find the next best thing at the newly opened Amare Ristorante in Miami Beach.
Helmed by Chef Cosimo Cassano, formerly of Michelin-starred Bacco Osteria in Puglia, Italy, the Collins Avenue venue features menu items typically found in small villages along the Italian coastline.
Amare means “to love” in Italian – and there’s plenty to love about this gem: fresh, seasonal ingredients; a dining room with azure, white and coral hues to reflect the Bay of Naples; hand-carved ceramic tiles from Naples; and service extraordinaire.
Menu highlights include land and sea selections such as Carpaccio, with yellowfin tuna, avocado, pear, lemon and mint; Branzino al Sale, which is whole, salt-baked Mediterranean sea bass; and Agnello al Moscato di Trani, grilled lamb chops, moscato wine, potatoes and fresh herbs. Daily specials are also offered, featuring classic dishes like Rigatoni Pasta di Gragnano, served with spicy Italian sausage ragu, beef braciola and pork ossobuco.
If that doesn’t scream Italy enough, there’s also the Neapolitan espresso bar and a dessert station. Those wanting to dine alfresco can enjoy the lushly landscaped terrace, replete with bougainvillea, lemon trees and a prime view of the South Beach scene.
That’s amore!
