Just in time to tempt your taste buds – The Gramercy has opened in Coral Gables.
“The name of the eatery and bar give a nod to the everlasting style and charm of the Big Apple,” notes a press release. But there’s much more here, including brasserie classics brought to life with a contemporary spin.
The bustling, beaux-arts setting also features a sushi bar and décor just as inventive as the menu with grand columns, large booths, exposed brick, velvet banquettes and French tile – and Instagram-worthy spots like the elevator to nowhere and the neon “Heartbreak Hotel” sign.
But back to the food. Here you’ll find appetizers like East and West Coast Oysters, Truffle Caviar, Deviled Eggs and Steak Tartare as well as heartier items like “The Gram” Burger (made with a 9-ounce Waygu beef patty, Maytag blue cheese, caramelized onion, and frisee on a potato bun) and Pan Seared Salmon (served with sorrel cream reduction).

Be sure and try one of the creative new concoctions and updated classic drinks. We’re intrigued by the Creme De La Creme, made with vodka, coconut liquor, vermouth and a watermelon ice cube, and the Smoke & Mirrors, with rye whiskey, Montenegro amaro, cynar, orange bitters and truffle tincture.
The Gramercy is located at 65 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables. For more information, call 786- 747-4854 or visit thegramercymami.com.
