Luscious lemon poundcake, rum-soaked brioche and Parisian flan are just some of the delectable desserts you will find at Yann Couvreur Cafe Wynwood in Miami.
The cafe is the first in the U.S. for its namesake renowned Chef Yann Couvreur, who operates 17 shops in Paris, Seoul, Dubai, Riyadh, Doha and other cities worldwide.
But there’s more: The cafe expanded beyond desserts to offer breakfast, lunch and brunch with a menu reminiscent of what you would find in a Parisian cafe. There is, of course, French Toast, as well as Oeuf à la Coque, two soft-boiled eggs served in the shell alongside finger brioche toast and topped with Petrossian caviar.
Other menu items include Tartine Saumon, featuring Appalachian smoked salmon, lemon cream cheese and local micro greens on toasted multigrain sourdough as well as the Tuna Melt, made with rounded toasted brioche, sharp cheddar cheese and a housemade tuna mix.
“As a chef, my vision for this cafe is to blend my culinary identity with the vibrant tapestry of American cuisine. Bringing my expertise to the U.S., I aim to infuse classic American favorites with a distinctly French twist, crafting an unforgettable menu that celebrates both tradition and innovation,” Couvreur says.
While this may be his first venture in the U.S., it likely will not be his last. Couvreur plans to open other locations in Coconut Grove and Aventura neighborhoods before expanding to other parts of the country, including New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Yann Couvreur Wynwood is located at 2243 N.W. 2nd Ave., Miami. For more information, visit cafe.yanncouvreur.us.
