Shoppers at the new Earth Fare in Boynton Beach will discover a plethora of organic and natural food, from produce to packaged on-the-go meals.
But the chain’s president and CEO, Frank Scorpiniti, also wants shoppers to know what they won’t find there – harmful chemicals and ingredients, such as added hormones, GMOs, bleached or bromated flour, artificial fats, trans-fats, antibiotics, artificial colors and high-fructose corn syrup. The list of ingredients not sold in Earth Fare stores, the Boot List, is on the company’s website.
“Our entire team takes great pride in reading the labels so you don’t have to because, at the end of the day, it’s about much more than selling groceries – it’s about living longer and making it easier to do so,” notes Justin Jackson, chief merchandising officer, in a press release.
The store, which is the chain’s 13th Florida location and its second in Palm Beach County, offers organic produce, 500 private brand items, a seafood and meat market, a salad bar, a hot foods bar, a sandwich counter, packaged meals and more. The Heirloom Café and Juice Bar serves up juices, smoothies, coffee drinks and custom blends.
“We believe, and science supports us, that the better you eat, the healthier, happier and longer life you can live,” Scorpiniti explains in a press release. “[We dedicate] ourselves to shouting louder as advocates for healthy food and the power it has on our health and lives.”
