A glass of wine adds so much to a meal. Fern Street Wine Bar & Kitchen in West Palm Beach understands that.
The farm-to-table dining venue wants to elevate that experience. Their solution: Hiring Head Sommelier Jesse Mednick, a former chef.
“Mednick’s experience in the kitchen helped develop a broader palate for pairings which opened the door to his passion of sommelier,” notes a press release.
Adds Mednick: “I love to support sustainability, family run and passionate vineyards. Every bottle on my list has a beautiful story behind them, that I truly believe in and would love to share with everyone.”
The restaurant, which has an open kitchen with a wood-fire oven imported from Modena, Italy, is located in West Palm Beach’s Art District. It also sources its own beef from Ranchers Reserve, a ranch in Okeechobee it owns, where Akaushi cattle are humanely raised without antibiotics or hormones.
