Summertime in South Florida means many wonderful fruits arrive, among them is a favorite: the mango. Floridians are such fans of the fruit (originally from India), that they gave this ultimate treat its very own festival where people can come together, learn about the different varieties (over 500!) and have a memorable time with family and friends.
Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden will host the festival Jul. 9 and 10. A 30-year tradition, it offers everything from cooking demonstrations to a signature Mango Brunch, music, food vendors, specialty mango smoothies and cocktails and more!
Come hungry for the famous Mango Brunch where some of South Florida’s top chefs will cook up their mango-inspired dishes. Notable chefs are Chef Allen Susser, Chef Lorena Garcia, Chef Hugh Sinclair, Chef Michelle Bernstein, Chef Niven Patel, Chef Todd Erickson and Chef Cesar Zapata. There will also be a special tasting of unique mango varieties grown by Fairchild horticulturists.
This is a festival you don’t want to miss, it’s a mango lover's dream come true.
