Believe it or not, summer is right around the corner, and for parents that can only mean one thing: entertaining the kids once school is out. Those seeking a summer program that combines educational skills with fun will love the American Heritage Schools Summer Program. Founded in 1965, American Heritage Schools is a nationally ranked private college preparatory day school for PK3 through 12th grade with campuses in Plantation and Delray Beach.
With more than 40 years of summer camp experience, the American Heritage Schools’ summer program includes a Day Camp for children ages 3-14 that offers Robotics, Arts, Science, Musical Theater, Video Production and Sports, depending on the campus. Campers enjoy age-appropriate activities and field trips supervised by engaging and caring staff.
The program includes the Summer Institute, an educational program with over 120 courses for Junior High School (6th-8th grade) and Lower School (PK3-5th grade) children. It offers advanced test prep, AP-level research work and pre-professional programs for those interested in medicine, law or business entrepreneurship. The Summer Institute also provides one-on-one tutoring for students wanting to enhance their communication skills and build confidence for the upcoming school year.
The summer program will run from June 12 to Aug. 11 and will be offered in-person and online. Enrollment at both campuses is now open.
