Calling all shutterbugs! Get a glimpse of leading local photography as the Palm Beach Photographic Centre unveils its 22nd Annual Members’ Show juried exhibition. The show will run from Aug. 25 through Oct. 27, and members of the public are invited to join the center for a free opening reception on Aug. 25 from 6-8 p.m.
Seventy photographers from throughout Florida – plus a few from New York and Massachusetts – will showcase their work, including residents of Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Coral Springs, Palm Beach, Miami, Palm Beach Gardens and West Palm Beach. Serving as juror for the show will be photojournalist Scott McKiernan, who leads the ZUMA Press family of companies and has decades of wide-ranging experience behind the lens.
The Best of Show winner will receive a cash prize of $950, and two Merit Award winners will receive free tuition for a FOTOfusion Passport or a Master Workshop at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre. Winners will be announced at the opening reception.
Also on display will be The FOTOcamp Exhibition, showcasing works by the talented area youth, ranging from 10 to 17 years old, who participated in this summer’s FOTOcamp for Kids.
The Palm Beach Photographic Centre is located at 415 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. For more information, call 561-253-2600 or visit workshop.org.
