
This creative combination is the centerpiece of the Wellington Bacon and Bourbon Fest March 26-27.
The two-day event, held on the grounds surrounding the Village of Wellington Promenade, will feature a variety of rare bourbons and an eclectic menu of bacon-infused food.
The Bourbon Bar will showcase three specialty bourbons comprised of Garrison Brothers, Luxco — Yellowstone, Blue Ridge Spirits — Joseph Magus and Copper Craft. Bourbon cocktails and flights will be available.
Bacon and pork-related dishes will include Catering CC’s Bacon garlic cheese fries and Jerk in a Cup as well as desserts. “Menu items developed by local chefs explore the boundaries of New American Cuisine and the Farm to Table movement to good old-fashioned comfort foods, just like Mom used to make,” notes a press release.
