“The Lion King” is a triple treat. The heartwarming story of love and redemption is packed with catchy tunes, stunning costumes and mesmerizing choreography.
No wonder the stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning 1994 Disney film has been experienced by more than 95 million people around the world.
If you’ve never seen this captivating play – or can’t wait to see it again – head for the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, where it will be shown through May 5, or the Arsht Center in Miami May 8-12, 14-19 and 21-26.
The behind-the-scenes details are also impressive: It took 37,000 hours to build the 232 puppets and masks used in the production.
The show, recommended for ages 8 and up, is the third longest-running Broadway production and has won six Tony Awards.
