Presidents Day Weekend is on the horizon — and with some fine weather on tap, we’d like to suggest a trip to the Coconut Grove Arts Festival.
What can you expect?
“More than 360 artists flock to South Florida each year to showcase their spectacular works with Biscayne Bay as the backdrop,” notes the event website. “Spanning across 15 mediums and ranging from classic and contemporary to the unconventional and eccentric, it’s no surprise the Coconut Grove Arts Festival’s creative variety has made it among the top fine arts outdoor festivals in the nation.”
In addition to art, there will be culinary experiences including chef-led cooking demonstrations and tastings as well as restaurant and gourmet food vendors.
It’s a family-friendly event: The Family Zone offers activities for children of all ages.
There’s also a VIP experience that includes access to an air-conditioned VIP lounge, private bathrooms, hors d’oeuvres and a 2022 commemorative poster.
The festival is produced by the Coconut Grove Arts and Historical Association — and proceeds from the event help pay for year-round arts programs. This year’s motto: “2022: Bigger and Better Than Ever.”
