Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo make an impressive duo. Partners on and off the stage, the couple has been making beautiful music together for more than 40 years.
Some notable collaborations include “Promises In The Dark,” “We Live For Love,” “Heartbreaker” and “Hell Is For Children.”
They’re taking their act on the road — with a stop May 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater.
“Benatar’s staggering vocals and take-no-prisoners attitude, along with Giraldo’s trailblazing artistry as a guitarist, producer and songwriter forged the undeniable chemistry and unique sound that created some of rocks most memorable hits including ‘We Belong,’ ‘Invincible,’ ‘Love Is A Battlefield,’” notes their website.
They’ve made quite a name for themselves, selling more than 36 million records worldwide and winning four Grammys.
Individually, they also rock. “Benatar has always been a rule-breaker and a trail-blazer, she remains a bold and distinctive artist on stage and on record, and now, after more than three decades in rock ‘n’ roll, she’s a bonafide living legend,” notes their website.
As for Giraldo: “Whether it’s in support of the vocal, or a guitar solo, or jumping from piano to guitar and back again, Giraldo’s gift is knowing how to always up the power in a song, increase the excitement and keep himself and Benatar as creative as they’ve ever been.”
