Welcome home, Ariana Grande. Our Boca Raton superstar – who’s had her share of tragedies over the past few years – is ready to rock again.
The “Dangerous Woman” singer is bringing her Sweetener World Tour to the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on May 31 and June 1 at 8 p.m. And, from what we hear, she’s in fine form.
“After months and months of preparation, the starlet kicked off her tour with a crowd-pleasing stop in Albany, New York,” notes E! News. “Thousands of fans streamed into the stadium where the singer delivered a rousing performance of over 25 songs on the impressive set-list.”
The 25-year-old took refuge with family in Boca after suspending her Dangerous Woman Tour in the wake of the bombing at her May 2017 show in Manchester, England, that killed 22 and wounded 116. More sadness followed when her ex-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller, died, followed not long after with a tumultuous split from her fiancé, comedian Pete Davidson.
The resilient pop princess channeled her experiences and emotions into the song “No Tears Left To Cry”; had great success with her 2019 album, “Thank U, Next”; and got her first Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her 2018 album, “Sweetener.”
“Grande has also become a popular host of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ bringing her musical and acting talents to the show, including uncanny impersonations of fellow pop divas Britney Spears, Shakira, Rihanna, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston in a skit spoofing the streaming service Tidal,” notes Biography.com.
She has also launched fragrances, including the new Cloud, which Cosmopolitan called possibly the best celeb perfume yet. O
