Pink’s Beautiful Trauma World Tour was so successful that she decided to extend the show.
And the pop singer’s first stop is the BB&T Center in Sunrise on March 1 at 8 p.m.
No doubt the artist – known for her death-defying aerial feats – will sing some of her edgy hits like “There You Go,” “Raise Your Glass” and “What About Us.”
Her love of music was sparked by her parents’ divorce. She found solace in songs, and, by the age of 14, she was writing her owntunes – and even had a regular gig at a nightclub in Philadelphia. She was discovered by an executive from MCA who helped her get into two bands.
Although both disbanded, Pink found her way as a solo artist. Since then, she has released many chart-topping albums, sung the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and won a Grammy forBest Female Rock Vocal Performance. She has also written songs for Cher and Celine Dion and starred in “Thanks for Sharing” with Gwyneth Paltrow.
Pink’s latest album, “Beautiful Trauma,” received rave reviews, like this one from USA Today: “In a pop-music landscape teeming with petty feuds and feeble attempts at reinvention, Pink stands out as one of our most consistently entertaining and forthright stars – a fact that holds true on her seventh studio album.”
As for her concert?
“The performance was part Cirque de Soleil and part Broadway musical, with ropes, lifts, other aerial tricks – solo and double – amazing dancers and musicians, including female guitarists and back-up singers,” notes Austin 101 Magazine.
