Cool cars are hot.
And you can see plenty of them at the 10th Annual YATC Cool Wheels Car Show April 24 at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach.
The event, which begins at 10 a.m., will showcase more than 1,000 cars including antique roadsters, dragsters, trucks and muscle cars in several makes and models.
“Cool Wheels is fun for the whole family. In addition to hundreds of cool cars, there will be silent auctions, raffles, food trucks, and Broward Sheriff’s Office SWAT presentations, music from DJ Eugene, Scott the Music Man, DJ Lance and a live performance by the Southern Blood Band – A Salute to American Southern Rock,” notes the website.
Also cool: the event supports the Youth Automotive Training Center, founded by Jim Moran in 1984. It began as a one-room training center and morphed into a 16,000-square-foot facility that includes classrooms, an auto shop and a fitness center.
“The program trains and educates at-risk youth in basic automotive repair skills, academic remediation, job readiness and life management skills. Thousands of spectators visit from near and far, all in support of the mission of YATC to give at-risk youth a second chance at success,” notes the group’s website.
