Ed Sheeran
Known for his heartfelt melodies and captivating performances, Ed Sheeran, a distinguished four-time Grammy Award winner, is set to grace South Florida on Oct. 22 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at 8 p.m.
Since the British singer-songwriter rose to fame in 2011 with his debut album “Plus,” he has established himself as a history-making artist. His subsequent albums “Multiply” (2014), “Divide” (2017), “Equals” (2021) and his latest, “Subtract” (2023), catapulted him as one of the 21st century’s most prominent musical luminaries. According to the IMDbPro website, by 2020 Sheeran was the fourth most-subscribed music artist on YouTube with 46 million followers. As of November 2021, he was the second most-streamed Spotify artist, with 77 monthly listeners.
In addition to Sheeran’s ongoing tour, “The Mathematics Tour,” which has filled venues across the globe since April 2022 and celebrates all his previous albums, the pop music artist is also giving fans the opportunity to see him share “Subtract” in a smaller setting. “The singer announced that he’ll be launching a special set of shows called the Subtract Tour in smaller theaters to perform his latest release front and back,” says Billboard’s website.
“‘[‘Subtract’] is the result of Sheeran pushing the boundaries of his songcraft, as he delivers the most profound songwriting of his career,” states the venue’s website. “… the album’s 14 tracks are seamlessly tied together by exquisite production from paired back, folk-leaning textures to bolder, full-band/orchestral arrangements.”
Despite a year of touring the world, Sheeran’s musical journey shows no signs of slowing down. To please his decade-long fan base, who call themselves “Sheerios,” a new album, “Autumn Variations,” was released on Sept. 29, just in time for a much-needed seasonal tunes compilation.
