Adam Sandler, we’ve missed you.
But we’ll get a chance to laugh ’til it hurts when the comedian, actor and musician brings his antics to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on March 13 at 8 p.m.
Sandler, who returned to the limelight in the recent Netflix film “Uncut Gems,” is known for his comedies like “Grown Ups,” “The Wedding Singer” and “The Waterboy.” And, of course, who can forget his turn on “Saturday Night Live”?
“One of the most endearing goofballs to ever grace the stages of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ affectionately offensive funnyman Adam Sandler has often been cited as the writer/performer who almost single-handedly rescued the long-running late-night television staple when the chips were down and it appeared to have run its course,” notes RottenTomatoes.com.
While the Boca Raton regular (he bought his mom a home here) avoids being in the press, Sandler continues to make his mark on the world one laugh at a time. Although he has a bachelor’s in fine arts, he found his calling on the stage – which is where comedian Dennis Miller discovered him for “Saturday Night Live.”
And the rest, as they say, is history. Although he took a hiatus, his return proved that he’s still got it.
Netflix was so impressed with his work in last year’s “Murder Mystery” that it recently signed him to make more movies. The streaming service called “Murder Mystery” its most popular film in the United States last year, noting that audiences “love Sandler’s stories and his humor.” O
