JAFCO’s mission is to care for abused and neglected children and those with disabilities in the Jewish community, and to work in partnership with families and the entire community. We believe that the care of children in our community is our responsibility, one we accept with joy, pride and love … giving every child a place to belong.
JAFCO provides our community with a full continuum of high-quality programs including foster care, adoption, family preservation, mentoring and independent living. Our Emergency Shelter and Six Group Homes are located within the JAFCO Children’s Village which remains the only one of of its kind in the Jewish community in the nation.
The JAFCO Children’s Ability Center supports families in our community who are raising a child with autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida and other developmental disabilities. This state-of-the-art center provides case management, support, therapy, child enrichment and extended respite care for children ages birth through 22.
JAFCO Northeast Communities office in Philadelphia provides family strengthening services, intensive case management, in-home family support, court-ordered supervised parent visitation and JAFCO is also officially licensed in the state of Pennsylvania to provide quality private foster care and adoption services in the Jewish community.
The newest addition to the life changing services JAFCO provides is the Eagles’ Haven Wellness Center, created solely for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas/Eagles community. The programming includes any needed support or wellness experience in one responsive and nurturing place, 7 days a week, free of charge. Eagles’ Haven is lovingly powered by JAFCO to assist students, parents, family members and faculty rediscover wellness and restore hope.
