It is the mission of Kindness Matters365 Foundation to provide formal kindness education programs in schools and the community, to inspire children and adults to contribute to the world through acts of compassion, gratitude, and kindness.
Twelve years ago, Laura Reiss established a Kindness Club at her daughter's elementary school. Monthly club meetings followed a carefully-developed core curriculum and led service projects to fill a local community need to demonstrate kindness in action.
Soon, parents at other schools wanted to start their own Kindness Clubs, and KM365 (formerly Samaritans365) was born! Today, KM365 runs 159 programs in 9 states, educating thousands of children each month. Still firmly rooted in school-based programming - an after-school club, course elective, or part of district-approved standard school curriculum - KM365 has grown to include programming for adults, seniors, summer camps, religious groups and local law enforcement agencies.
Each Kindness Club is overseen by a trained KM365 Ambassador and runs an age-appropriate, hands-on, service project to demonstrate the values of compassion, kindness and gratitude. And we continue to grow, developing new programs and community collaborations.
