The mission of the National Society of Arts and Letters (NSAL) is to discover, mentor and financially support exceptional young artists in all disciplines of the arts. The dedicated volunteers of NSAL Florida East Coast Chapter accomplish this mission through annual competitions and scholarships, both locally and in conjunction with the National Organization.
Past local Florida and national winners who have gone on to critical acclaim, nationally and internationally, are soprano Nadine Sierra, Voice winner 2008 and opera director, Jeffrey Buchman, Voice, 1997.

Past local scholarship winners Yaroslava Poletaeva, violin and Darren Matais, piano, went on to win a national competition in Collaborative Piano and Violin in 2016. Zaray Rodriquez was Chapter and National NSAL scholarship winner in Voice, 2017 and Isabella Addison was Chapter and National NSAL Visual Arts scholarship winner, 2018.
This year, we are holding two Competitions, a Collaborative Piano and Brass Competition for college students in the state of Florida, November 10, 2018 at Lynn University, Boca Raton and the Chapter Level Competition for this year's National Drama Competition in Washington, DC, ages 18 to 28 on March 9, 2019 at the Crest Theatre in Delray Beach.
