Speak Up For Kids of Palm Beach County, Inc. (SUFK) serves all children in Palm Beach County’s foster care system. Children range in age from newborn through 18 years old from diverse ethnicities and races, backgrounds and socioeconomic circumstances.
All have unique physical, social/emotional, educational, and normalcy needs. Speak Up for Kids champions best-interest child advocacy and supporting childrens’ enrichment needs while in dependency care. Through effective advocacy, the cycles of abuse, violence, and crime are being broken one child at a time, and childrens’ futures are being rewritten.
Our organization bridges the gap between getting children into foster homes, and then making sure they get the encouragement and support so each can feel like a “normal” (and not foster) child.

Speak Up for Kids cultivates partnerships and funding through grants, individual donations, corporate engagement, special events, and civic and community support and engagement. Its programs forge strategic partnerships and targeted initiatives for programs including:
Office of the Guardian ad Litem – direct child advocacy while in-system care
Embrace Kids – discretionary fund to support child's best interest
Specialty Courtroom Programs – therapeutic & early childhood roundtable
Foster Palm Beach – local foster home recruitment
STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids – peer to peer, awareness and advocacy
Gift A Birthday – providing birthday to our kids including a gift, card and birthday cake
Flourishing Futures – milestone celebrations and scholarship funds, removing barriers to higher education
PARENTS Speak Up for Kids – provides foster and dependency-specific information and parenting tips
Music Buddies – students providing music lessons to our kids
Life Skills Learning Portal – online resources for foster kids aging out of the system to transition into adulthood and independence
