Cherie Arscott brings a deep understanding of design and architecture as well as a commitment to personal service to every client project.
“My father was a custom home builder, and I would go to the jobsite to connect and learn while watching him work,” she says. “My mom would take me to wallpaper, flooring and furniture stores to market the new homes he constructed. So, from my experience at a young age, I know construction, architecture and design from the ground up.”
Since launching Architectural Design Studios two years ago, Arscott and her business partner, Kris Havens, serve a growing clientele that includes homeowners seeking a full-service design solution as well as the varied needs of hotels, restaurants, retail stores and other commercial property owners and managers.
“Our clients appreciate our seamless approach,” she says. “We have a great team that collaborates on every project, large or small. Those discussions lead to new ideas and a better overall design. It also ensures that everyone is on the same page, so we can provide a worry-free solution.”
The firm’s new Delray Beach studio incorporates 6,500 square feet of office and warehouse space at a convenient western location.
“It’s wonderful for clients who can come in and make their choices,” says Arscott. “We also have plenty of space to receive the furniture and accessories, so everything is here when it’s move-in time for our clients.”
Growing up in Virginia, Arscott was exposed to traditional European styles.
“I love European classicism but am very comfortable with contemporary designs as well,” she says. “For me, great interior design is about enhancing the living experience rather than simply creating more stylish and attractive rooms.”
Arscott and Havens are active supporters of The Place of Hope, dedicating 10 percent of their proceeds to the nonprofit that assists children who are homeless or have aged out of the foster care system.
“While we design beautiful homes for our clients, we always remember the importance of helping those less fortunate in life,” she says.
