Keith O’Donnell
Commercial Real Estate Advisory Firm
Over the past four decades, Keith O’Donnell has established himself as one of the top commercial real estate specialists in the southeastern United States, having been responsible for over $6 billion in transactions. O’Donnell joined Avison Young, a global commercial real estate advisory firm, as a principal in 2012.
O’Donnell has been involved in numerous significant transactions in Boca Raton including the sale of IBM’s campus (aka BRiC), the Office Depot headquarters, the NCCI headquarters, the FAU Research Park and the redevelopment and sale of Mizner Park.
Recently, O’Donnell has expanded his advisory services to assist a complex sector often overlooked and in need of sage experience and guidance — family office real estate planning. Having a full-service platform allows for oversight of the professional services for the life of an investment.
“Real estate investments are an important part of any wealth-building strategy,” says O’Donnell. They bring advantages, including passive income streams and favorable tax strategies to expand and diversify current holdings. Family decisions require multiple options for personal finances. They professionally guide clients through these options. “We offer a comprehensive suite of services of a large-scale firm with a boutique, hands-on approach.”
Notable clients include the Lynn family’s Lynn Financial Center and Lynn University Campus and the Slavik family’s national real estate portfolio.
“Not only do I know every piece of real estate in South Palm Beach County, but the depth of my experience lets me be able to give guidance regardless of the real estate sector.”
One key to O’Donnell’s success is the highly skilled and collaborative way he works with clients to deliver solutions. “Our clients are in an enviable position to have accumulated wealth,” he says. “However, with that comes a desire to ensure their impact and legacy last for generations. We’ve been honored to make important contributions to their mission.”
Prior to Avison Young, O’Donnell served as an executive development officer for Arvida, a Florida real estate development company and he was senior managing director of Codina/Flagler Real Estate Services. “If I had to do it all over again, I’d choose the same profession.”
Avison Young has 5,000 members across its 120 offices worldwide.
