“We’re all afforded the same tools,” says Jose Barni, lead designer and sales manager. “The one thing no one can take from you is creativity.”
The firm tailors its design inspiration uniquely to each client ensuring its designs are one of a kind. This is why Barni motivates his team to think outside the box.
“We want to do work that you don’t normally see in the cabinetry world. We lean into our creativity,” says Barni, explaining that they work with different geometric shapes. “We’re inspired by the architectural and industrial worlds.”
CAC works primarily on residential homes in Palm Beach and Broward counties. An architectural mill firm, its work focuses on cabinetry such as wall units and home bars. Everything is designed and manufactured in-house using quality hardware and state-of-the-art machinery.
“Clients come to us with challenging projects, and we have the capability of building anything they want,” says Barni. “You get a much more custom and higher-quality product that way.”
Barni has a strong client philosophy. “Design is a collaboration between myself and the client,” he says. “I always have a conversation with the client. I pay attention to how they use the space and what their goal is. My job is to bring that idea to fruition and guide them through the process.”
Since the work is custom, it must be done right the first time. “This isn’t something where we put it in the wall and they return it. I can’t sell it to someone else. That’s why it’s important that the client is involved in the process.”
The firm is also proud of its efficiency. Team members will meet with you in your home (unless you’re building one), measure the space and discuss what you have in mind. Barni can then make a hand sketch, model it in 3D for you and provide pricing.
“The design process time is cut,” he says. “We can really focus on efficiency this way.”
