Dina Branham Creates A Hybrid From Combined Passions
What do you get when you combine a career in real estate, the love of wine and passion for being artistic? If you are Dina Branham, you create a place where people can drink wine, be creative and search for a new home – all in the same place.
Dina has been a Florida real estate broker since 2004. After a successful decade in real estate, she launched her own brand, Deluxe Properties, in Delray Beach.
“I’ve always looked at real estate as more of a service versus selling industry. To me, it’s a hospitality mentality philosophy,” she says. “Think hotels, choices of accommodations – you can have the standard room or upgrade to the deluxe. ‘Upgrade from the standard’ is one of our tag lines.”
Fast forward three years, she decided to maximize her territory while minimizing overhead with the less traditional style brick and mortar office, with a micro office approach, with Atlantic Avenue being the main office.
“With the advances in online technology, that seemed the direction that made sense,” Dina says.
To open a second office in the trendy Pineapple Grove Arts district (which is zoned retail), she had to get creative.
“So I thought, Capital One married banking with coffee, I’ll combine real estate with wine,” she says.
Wine House Social, it’s in the name. It’s Wine, its Houses and it’s all things Social. Specializing in organic wine, iPad kiosks with their own mobile real estate app and hosted special events.
“There are no property listings in the windows to attract prospective clients, but rather wine… and that will bring people in the door. From there, it’s about the customer service, networking and relationship making,” Dina says.
Although only open for a few months, Wine House Social has been gaining momentum.
“People love the concept and how it came to fruition. There is nothing like that around here, and it’s talked about how innovative and forward thinking this new concept really is, and that makes me smile,” Dina concludes.
