He’s also the founder and branch owner of Helius Wealth Management - Raymond James Financial Services, a financial advisory firm that provides personal plans for an individual’s needs. Their team strives to be an intricate part of a client’s financial journey through every season and every change.
“We like to think of the relationships we create as a living breathing thing because we know life happens and that plans can shift from year to year,” Cornell says. “That’s why we intend to be there every step of the way and why we pride ourselves in executing a meticulous client service model.”
Cornell knew he wanted to be a financial advisor at 13 after meeting the former senior vice president for A.G. Edwards, now known as Wells Fargo.
“I remember listening to him speak about his clients and seeing his passion for helping others,” Cornell says. “That kind of passion stuck with me, and I understood then that helping people accomplish their goals was something that I wanted to have in my life and in my firm.”
Inside Helius Wealth Management, Cornell and his team look at a client’s financial position working with the six different areas of financial planning.
“To see the end result of a parent who put their child through college, or when we help someone transition into retirement because of the financial plans we created with them, is amazing,” Cornell says.
Since its creation, Cornell’s firm has consistently grown by referral only, and, his next step, he says, is to open three locations throughout the state of Florida.
“Living by the value that our clients come first is what truly sets us apart. And this next season of growth will allow us to continue to deliver that high level of service they have come to expect and appreciate.”
