Alexandra Sanchez and Fran E. Zion
Law Firm
Fran E. Zion and Alexandra Sanchez sought to become lawyers for different reasons. Zion wanted to learn to read contracts to turn her mom’s scrumptious cookies into a business. Sanchez’ father hired a lawyer to address a home roofing issue and the exposure inspired her to practice law to help people.
Their practice specializes in serving private and commercial clients in all aspects of Florida real estate. They can assist with purchases, sales, refinance, document preparation, title issues, probate, evictions, collections, bankruptcy, private lending and related litigation.
Zion has been practicing for 35 years. She says all clients should be treated respectfully. “I get satisfaction when I receive a call from people that have a problem but am able to calm their fears and reduce any anxiety from what can be an unfamiliar process.”
Sanchez has been practicing for 26 years. Being fluent in Spanish and English affords her the ability to provide personalized attention to a culturally diverse community. “I love when we wrap something up and the client is happy.”
Sanchez believes an attorney plays a dual role as both a lawyer and a counselor. “You have to address issues from each person’s perspective,” she says. “You must work with their particular dynamics to give them what they need. It’s not all the same. You must tailor your approach to what they’re going through and where they’re coming from.”
Zion is from Philadelphia. She came to Miami in 1979 and attended the University of Miami where she earned an undergraduate business degree and her juris doctorate. She serves as director on her Miami condominium board, while for the past few years she has stayed in Boca Raton helping care for her mother.
Sanchez earned her bachelor’s degree at Florida International University and her law degree at the University of Miami. Originally from Queens, New York, she has lived in South Florida since 1980. She serves on the board of Dyscalculia Training & Research Institute.
The Firm is a certified member of Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women-owned businesses.
