It’s All About Family For Chef Gregg Krupin
Chef Gregg Krupin believes that family is important, and he’s brought that philosophy to his job as director of food and beverage at Isle Casino Pompano.
Chef Krupin started working at the casino a few months after it opened in 2006 and has worked his way up from pastry chef to chef de cuisine to his current role, where he oversees four restaurants as well as bars and events.
The property is owned by Eldorado Resorts, which has 26 casinos across the United States, including in Boonville, Missouri, where Chef Krupin spent about a year. He returned to his home in South Florida when the opportunity to head up food and beverage opened.
“I wanted to be part of our planned growth, and, also, this was where it all started for me,” he says.
The property is home to four restaurants, each with its own unique menu. At Farraddays’ Steakhouse, guests can enjoy elevated comfort food in a fine dining establishment as well as more than 360 wines and a selection of specialty cocktails.
The Farmer’s Pick Buffet offers more than 80 items from farmers’ markets across the country, including locally grown items. Guests can enjoy a champagne brunch on Sundays, a seafood fest on Fridays and Saturdays, and lunch or dinner throughout the week.
Last but not least, don’t forget the freshly made cookies on offer – hot out of the oven.
“When the fresh cookies come out of the oven, we ring a bell,” says Chef Krupin. “The customers hear it, and they come running.”
Myron’s Delicatessen & Café is an authentic New York deli offering the best in corned beef, pastrami and sweet noodle kugel as well an atmosphere reminiscent of the Big Apple.
“We pride ourselves on family style-service; it’s how we run the casino. From our employees to our guests, we want everyone to feel like family,” says Chef Krupin.
