Doctors Who Treat Patients Like Family
Pulmonary Associates in Boca Raton and Delray Beach are lung specialists who treat all aspects of pulmonary diseases including asthma, COPD, lung cancer screening, smoking cessation, sleep apnea, chronic cough, and shortness of breath.
The practice has a full range of advanced pulmonary function testing equipment to help diagnose each individual’s unique lung function.
“We are also engaged on the frontline in the war on COVID-19. In addition to being involved in the daily management of the sickest hospital patients, we provide expertise via telemedicine, advice on the new COVID vaccines, and management of long COVID conditions,” says Dr. Mark Adelman.
Dr. Stephen Milan adds: “Our practice provides advanced pulmonary and critical care services. This includes minimally invasive chest biopsies, biologic therapies for refractory asthma, and all common respiratory conditions.”
The group also practices sleep medicine under the leadership of Dr. Noah Schreibman, director of local sleep centers. Dr. Carlos Gutierrez, director of the ICU at Delray Community Hospital, says, “We enjoy the smiles and sincere thanks we receive from our patients, from taking care of our asthma and COPD patients in the office to providing ICU care for our sickest patients in the hospitals.”
Dr. Kenneth Baron says that each pulmonologist becomes a partner with his patients, guiding them on the best individualized treatment so they can make informed decisions. “We treat each patient like they were our family sitting across from us. We are in constant contact with our patients and their families,” he says. “When asked to see a sick patient, they know we can help them promptly.”
The doctors are board certified in critical care, pulmonary and internal medicine. Dr. Schreibman is also boarded in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Milan and Dr. Gutierrez have additional expertise in minimally invasive chest biopsies.
The group has clinical appointments at FAU School of Medicine, and provides lectures and in-hospital training for physicians in training.
“We’re excited to meet patients and help whoever we can, the best we can,” says Dr. Adelman. “We are glad to be part of this community.”
