Periodontist
Lilliana Aranguren, D.D.S., M.D. Sc. believes that everyone deserves to have a beautiful smile that makes them feel good about themselves. And, when patients first meet her, they are greeted by her warm smile and enthusiasm.
An integral part of the team at the South Florida Center for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry since 2016, Dr. Aranguren works hard to make sure her patients feel at ease. “Our profession sometimes forgets that going to the dentist is scary and we need to take that into consideration,” she says. “It’s not just about the technique, but also how we treat our patients.”
Dr. Aranguren knows that periodontal disease can impact a patient’s health in other ways including heart disease, diabetes, cancer and dementia. That’s why it’s important to her that they get treatment as soon as possible.
A native of Venezuela, Dr. Aranguren is Board-Certified in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery by the American Board of Periodontology. She provides patients with state-of-the-art procedures including minimally invasive tissue (gum) grafting, laser-assisted periodontal treatment, immediate load implant dentistry (TeethToday®), accelerated orthodontics and esthetic enhancement. She also is licensed to provide IV and conscious sedation.
Dr. Aranguren is a pioneer of Yomi Robotic-Guided Dental Surgery, the first and only FDA-cleared robotic device for dental implant surgery. “We strive to be on top of technology and we are continually taking courses and stay up-to date on the newest technology,” says Dr. Aranguren.
Dr. Aranguren works with a team of three others, Jeffrey Ganeles, Frederic J. Norkin and Samuel Zfaz, all of whom are Board-Certified in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery.
Early on, the South Florida Center for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry put into place stringent safeguards to ensure patients are protected from COVID-19. “We are proud to say we have done a good job demonstrating that safety is first, and patients are coming back without any hesitation,” Dr. Aranguren says.
