For Blake Morris, Real Estate Is All In The Family
Blake Morris always knew he wanted to work in the real estate industry.
“I had the bug,” he says. “I guess you can say it’s in my blood.”
While growing up, his father, Lee, was chairman of a nationally recognized commercial real-estate investment company and is now a successful developer of multimillion-dollar homes.
Morris, now 30, attended Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton and went on to major in real estate at the University of Miami. He began his career working for Lang Realty and later attained his broker’s designation. His mother, Jeannine, joined him last year to form The Morris Group at Lang Realty. Together, they’ve become the go-to team for luxury residential properties in the area.
“Having grown up in Boca, I have the distinct advantage of a strong local knowledge of the market, the different neighborhoods, schools and amenities,” says Morris. “We have been around for a long time; people know us not just on a professional level, but also on a personal level.”
Morris knows that, for most people, buying or selling a home can be a stressful situation. Accordingly, each client receives the ultimate in white glove service.
“We don’t carry 20 or 30 listings at a time,” he says. “We try to be very selective with the listings we agree to accept to better facilitate our clients’ needs.”
Being single, Morris’ energetic attitude and work ethic – coupled with his social media and internet savvy – perfectly complement Jeannine’s extensive experience in finance and sales (she worked on Wall Street as both a director and a national sales manager for two major banks).
“We ham and egg it quite well,” he says.
Morris says their “duo power,” as he calls it, has led to record-breaking sales.
He also believes strongly in giving back to the community. Among other endeavors, he serves on the board of the Morris Family Foundation, which has been generously supporting local charities for years. Further, The Morris Group donates a portion of all commissions earned to charity.
“Real estate is a relationship business, and our longstanding excellent relationships within our community are extremely important,” says Morris.
