Brett Morris Brings Resort-Style Living To Residents
Nearly seven years into his stint as general manager and COO of operations, Brett Morris has transformed The Polo Club of Boca Raton into a world-class resort where residents never have to leave to enjoy an exceptional South Florida lifestyle.
When Morris arrived, he was charged with breathing new life into what people described as an “old and tired” community. Since then, he has overseen $45 million in renovations, starting with approximately $25 million in the rebranding of the onsite restaurants, creating different dining options and pricing levels.
The club has something for everyone, from fast casual to fine dining, as well as a large catering operation.
“When I first got here, the club was not known for delivering exceptional member experiences. Where we used to be the follower, we are now a leader as far as delivering a high-level member and guest experience,” Morris says.
With The Polo Club comprising 1,709 homes and more than 3,000 club members, Morris also set out to create more than just a residential community. He created resort-style living where residents can enjoy everything from health and fitness to entertainment and special events.
“Polo is like a cruise ship that never leaves port,” says Morris, who has overseen upgrades from the tennis courts to the swimming pool, adding activities for all ages.
“Every year, we take on different projects we think will enhance the club and the member experience,” he says. “It’s a $45 million business with a lot of moving parts.”
The average home price in The Polo Club is $500,000. Morris sees his job as not only to deliver exceptional service but also to bring added value to those homes.
“We are looking to stay relevant so, when people are thinking about buying a home in Florida, either as a vacation home or retirement home, they think of The Polo Club first because we are known for five-star amenities and an exceptional lifestyle,” Morris says.
The Polo Club of Boca Raton is located at 5400 Champion Blvd., Boca Raton. For more information, call 561-995-1206 or visit poloclub.net.
