Lisa Armbrust, Vice President of Thunderbird Wealth Management - Raymond James in Boca Raton feels that an important part of her role as a financial planner is empowering clients to ask questions. “No question is stupid,” she says. “Don’t be afraid of asking questions. You must trust your financial advisor.”
Armbrust works with families and individuals as they plan for each life chapter. She spends time understanding her clients’ needs, offering them customized strategies that are designed to align with their lives. “Everyone has different problems,” she says. “Finance is like solving a problem. It’s about putting the puzzle together for each client. And the puzzle can be done in so many ways.”
She is a firm believer and advocate of communication. “Calling once a year isn’t communicating,” she says. “I really care, and I talk to my clients. I believe in listening and putting a plan together. If you want to be involved, I will work with you. Having a plan is better than no plan.”
To continue offering her clients service they deserve, she joined Raymond James in 2019. The company prioritizes boutique-style service while offering the breadth of resources that can only be delivered by an international financial firm. “Their philosophy is that clients come first and employees come second,” she says.
A graduate of the Thunderbird School of Global Management and the University of Connecticut, her love of numbers and working with people inspired her to join the financial planning field. In her free time, the Boca Raton resident volunteers at a local university and helps rebuild homes. Her hard work has earned her numerous accolades, including an honorary graduate certificate from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in 2012 and a spot on the university’s 100 Women of Distinction* list in 2016 and 2017 for helping raise $220,000 in scholarships. She is also the cochair of the advisory council of FAU’s Center for Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies.
