Erica R. Podolsky, M.D., FASMBS is the founder and Medical Director of the nationally recognized Surgical Weight Loss Program at Delray Medical Center. “The transformations are the most rewarding part. Dr. Podolsky performs surgical procedures at Delray Medical Center, a nationally recognized award-winning acute care hospital with a certified surgical weight loss program for the care of obese patients with new operating suites and the latest technology and private patient rooms. Dr Podolsky specializes in minimally invasive surgery using laparoscopy and robotic-assisted surgery to offer her patients enhanced recovery. “We are able to do the same advanced surgeries through small incisions which allows for rapid recovery with decreased pain, shorter hospital stays and quicker return to daily activities.”
Dr. Podolsky is also the Chair of the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee at Delray Medical Center and Director, FAU third year medical students at Delray Medical Center. In 2022, she was honored with Clinical Teacher of the Year award by her students. She is a partner at Palm Beach Surgical, a multispecialty general surgery practice with Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group in Delray Beach.
She earned her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and did her residency in general surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed her fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery in the Department of Surgery at Duke University.
