Autism Care

Christopher Barnett, CEO of ABA Centers of Florida, knows his craft from firsthand experience: His daughter and other family members have autism. He says, “My daughter has a very special brain, and I wouldn’t want her to be any other way.”

Barnett knows that life with an autistic child can be atypical but also beautiful. The goal of his organization is to provide parents with the tools to make life easier for their child with autism. “No parent expects to receive an autism diagnosis for their child,” he says. “Our goal is to help those families that need hope and expertise in the midst of the unexpected.”

The organization’s greatest impact is connecting families to autism care quickly, while competitors have wait lists lasting up to several years. “We don’t have a wait list,” says Barnett. “The earlier children get access to care, the better the outcome. It’s more than a business to us.”

ABA Centers of Florida provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services through a play-based approach rooted in positive reinforcement. Its strategically designed behavioral care centers offer the greatest opportunity for growth to young clients. Their Boca Raton clinic — one of the largest in the state — has a sensory gym with a climbing wall and zip line, in addition to many other spaces that are tailored to different age ranges and enable a multitude of ABA lessons.

The organization also provides in-home and in-school treatment to deliver the most impactful continuum of care to best meet each client’s needs. “It’s truly individualized, boutique care and a best-in-class experience,” says Barnett.

Each therapist at ABA Centers of Florida works one-on-one with their clients daily to help them achieve their goals and ensure that any questions or concerns are addressed immediately. ABA therapists help even the most challenging cases reach their full potential.

“We had a nine-year-old on the spectrum who was nonverbal. With the help of our therapists, he was finally able to communicate with his parents for the first time,” says Barnett. “We are able to give parents the gift of a deeper connection to their kids.”
