Dr. Ennis, who is the founder, along with his wife, Donna, of Ennis Plastic Surgery in Boca Raton, is unique in that he brings an artistic dimension to his facial plastic surgeries, cosmetic breast surgeries and body contouring surgeries.

“Plastic surgery is a very visual field and the artistic part is important,” says the Congressional award-winning artist. “I find it easy and enjoyable to put the puzzle pieces back together — fixing the muscle and ligament structural problems of the face.”

For the Deep-Plane Facelifts that he performs, for example, Dr. Ennis accesses the muscles through the deeper planes of the face — for a nicer, more natural look. He also undertakes a lot of first-time breast implant surgeries, in which an incision is made in the crease of the underarm, so there’s no scar on the breast itself.

“Less than five percent of the surgeries are done that way,” he explains. “It’s a more technically advanced procedure but creates a more pleasing result.”

Because of these techniques, patients come from all over the world to see Dr. Ennis. In just the first two weeks in December 2021, for instance, he performed surgeries on patients from Turkey, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Italy, as well as from California, New York and Chicago.

He and Donna, a board-certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in skin rejuvenation and aesthetic injections, offer a husband/wife approach and Southern hospitality (both grew up in the deep South) that patients appreciate and find comforting.

“We provide a service that satisfies the patient’s concerns both physically and mentally,” he expresses. “We’re very grateful that people travel to see us and that they patronize our local hotels and restaurants. It’s a way of supporting our community.”
