With the personal motto: “My patients come first, second and first!” Zakiya Moyenda, M.D., MBA, practices medicine with an emphasis on the best care possible for each patient. He founded Moyenda Medical Associates in Lake Worth Beach in August 2022 and as the owner and Chief Medical Director, he focuses on forming long-term relationships with his patients. Preventative care, he feels, can help deter long-term illnesses.

“I want to introduce the wellness components of our practice, including fitness and nutrition and overall wellbeing, which are part of Moyenda Holistic Health,” Dr. Moyenda expresses. “We’re starting up a new line of service in May — IV vitamin infusions for immunity boosting, and recovery and performance, for people who work out.”

Dr. Moyenda has also initiated concierge services and makes house calls as a new permanent part of his practice.

“I see patients at nursing homes, rehab facilities, their homes and in hospitals,” he adds. “I have active privileges at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center, St. Mary’s Medical Center, JFK North and Main Campus, Bethesda East and West, Delray Medical Center and Boca Raton Regional Hospital.”

Another factor that differentiates Dr. Moyenda from the others is that he literally goes the distance for patients in terms of advocating for them through the healthcare system. That includes making phone calls for patients to get earlier appointments, making arrangements with specialists, doing blood draws and “whatever makes it easier for them.”

“My patients are spoiled as far as the diversity of the places where I see them and with the follow-up, which is key,” Dr. Moyenda explains. “A lot of them have direct access to me 24/7 via my cell phone.”

Most importantly, he listens to his patients and genuinely cares about their health outcomes. “We don’t consider them just a number,” he points out.

In addition to his Lake Worth Beach office, Dr. Moyenda is now actively looking to open a medical multispecialty group practice in Palm Beach Gardens (North Palm Beach). If his current success is any indication, his new endeavor promises to be just as triumphant.
