Family Office Real Estate Services

Over the past four decades, Keith O’Donnell has established himself as one of the top commercial real estate specialists in the southeastern United States having been responsible for over $6 billion in transactions. O’Donnell joined the global enterprise Avison Young as a principal in 2012.

Recently, the O’Donnell Team has expanded their advisory services to assist a complex sector often overlooked and highly in need of sage experience and guidance: Family Office Real Estate Planning.

“Real estate investments are an important part of any wealth-building strategy,” says O’Donnell. “It brings unique advantages, including passive income streams and favorable tax strategies to expand and diversify current holdings.”

Notable clients include the Lynn Family, specifically Lynn Financial Center and the Rooney family, who own the Palm Beach Kennel Club. For example, he helped Lynn University create a P3 strategy for developing new dorms at Lynn University and restructure the master plan approvals to build the Wold Performing Arts Center. O’Donnell and the Avison Young team have helped the Palm Beach Kennel Club ownership decide how to maximize its surplus land while providing a future new home for its legacy gaming operations.

“We offer a comprehensive suite of services of a large-scale firm with a hands-on approach, as family decisions require multiple options for personal finances, and we professionally guide them through these.”

One of the keys to O’Donnell’s success is the highly skilled and collaborative ways he works with clients to deliver unique solutions.

“Our clients are in an enviable position to have accumulated wealth,” he says. “However, with that comes a desire to ensure their impact and legacy last for generations. We have been honored to make important contributions to their mission.”

O’Donnell has played significant leadership roles, specifically in Palm Beach County. Prior to Avison Young, he served as an executive development officer for Arvida, a founding prominent real estate development company in Florida and was senior managing director of Codina/Flagler Real Estate Services.

Avison Young has nine offices in Florida with over 200 members in the state and 5,000 members across its 120 offices worldwide.
