CoreSmart Pain Health Institute in Boca Raton and West Palm Beach is proud that it has added another expert to its practice. They now have Jarrod Friedman, M.D. as well as Nurse Practitioner Betsy Gottlieb, NP-C. Together, they hold a combined 40 years of pain management experience and expertise.

“I love Dr. Friedman’s approach to pain patients,” Gottlieb says.  “He looks at the whole patient, not just the pain problem.”

Dr. Friedman is double board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Pain Medicine. Dr. Friedman developed, launched and directed pain management programs for Johns Hopkins University Hospital System, where he also taught. Dr. Friedman does not just address the medical diagnosis. He works to get to the underlying cause of an issue.

“Each patient’s treatment is different. You need diffferent tools to control pain for different situations,” he says. “Everyone’s needs are unique. I don’t use a cookie-cutter approach.”

That approach is why patients often come to him for a second opinion — and stick with him. Dr. Friedman sees patients quickly, so they don’t have to wait and suffer.

“I want to be a voice for the patient and advocate for them. The greatest success is when you see someone in the community enjoying themselves and not in your office. That’s what you live for,” he says.

“A good physician uses everything he has to manage disease for people to function,” he says. “It’s all about matching the right treatment to the patient to maximize their outcome.”
