He also provides colon cancer prevention.
“Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in America,” says Dr. Cohen. “That is why the American Cancer Society recently issued new guidelines recommending colorectal cancer screening in at-average-risk adults starting at age 45. Finding colon polyps during a colonoscopy can result in a significant reduction in colorectal cancer and, thereby, save lives.”
In addition to performing routine endoscopic procedures, Dr. Cohen is one of few gastroenterologists in South Florida who performs an effective, nonsurgical and painless treatment for symptomatic hemorrhoids in-office.
