Wealth isn’t one-dimensional and no two clients are the same. That’s why investment and wealth management strategies at the Glenmede Trust Company in West Palm Beach strive to reflect each client’s purpose, passions and legacy.

Mark Parthemer, AEP, is Glenmede’s Chief Wealth Strategist and Florida regional director. As wealth strategist, he provides thought leadership throughout the country in estate planning, tax law and trust law. As regional director, he has been responsible for client services and business operations in Florida since June.

Parthemer says Glenmede differs from competitors because of their analytic approach. “We take the client’s individual situation, assets and spending and analyze them to quantify the likelihood of achieving their goals. This information allows us to propose tactical changes that increase the likelihood of success.” Privately owned for over 65 years, Glenmede can take a long-term approach without being singularly focused on its stock price and short-term financial results.

The Philadelphia-based Glenmede serves 2,000 clients from their nine offices around the country. The Florida office opened in late 2019. Fun fact: Glenmede is the name of a Pew family homestead in Philadelphia. “The company’s history reminds us of the true values of the organization,” says Parthemer. “It’s a nice way to encapsulate and recognize that we’re in the business of providing peace of mind to families.”

Parthemer joins Glenmede with over three decades of experience in trust, estate and tax planning. Prior to Glenmede, Parthemer served as managing director for TIAA and managing director and senior fiduciary Counsel at Bessemer Trust Company. “I really like helping clients,” he says. “I also enjoy the educational aspect of what I do.” He recently completed a presentation series teaching attorneys about tax opportunities in the current economy.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science from Franklin & Marshall College and Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law, Penn State University. He is an associate editor and columnist for the Journal of Financial Services Professionals.
