Fertility Specialist

At 13, Mark S. Denker, M.D., read a story about the first test tube baby in the United States. He was fascinated by the article and decided that’s what he wanted to do someday.

He definitely is fulfilling that dream. Today, Dr. Denker is a fellowship trained Reproductive Endocrinologist. He started the Palm Beach Fertility Center, a boutique concierge practice, in Boca Raton in 1994. It has gained a reputation as the go-to fertility specialist for those having difficulty to conceive. Patients from as far away as Russia, Germany and Romania have come to trust Dr. Denker for their fertility care.

That’s likely thanks to the practice’s focus on hand holding, listening and explaining. “We really spend time talking to and educating patients so that we can take proper care of them,” says Dr. Denker. In fact, at a patient’s first appointment, he’ll spend 30 to 45 minutes listening to their story. “We find out exactly what the problem is so we can fix it,” he says. “That’s how you have the best chance for success.”

Thanks to Dr. Denker’s attention to detail and superior patient care, thousands of babies have been born. Many successes are attributed to treatments such as In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) for diminished ovarian reserve, egg donation and gestational surrogacy. “What touches me the most is when I explain something, and they tell me no one’s ever explained that to them before.”

Dr. Denker believes that every person has the right to experience pregnancy, regardless of sexual orientation or marital status. He was the first fertility specialist in Florida to provide surrogacy services to single men and a champion of reproductive rights for the LGBT community.

Dr. Denker earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He went on to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of California at Irvine. A Los Angeles native, he lives in Delray Beach with his wife and his five children.
