Boca Raton is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. The boom has been evident at South Florida Hand and Orthopaedic Center. For more than a decade, Ehsan Esmaeili, M.D., and his team have served patients at the center.

“The growth in Boca Raton’s population has also meant a growth in our practice,” says Dr. Esmaeili.

To meet the surge in demand, Dr. Esmaeili recently added new team members.

Kevin Palmer, D.P.M. is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery. His skillset provides a new practice area to the firm that specializes in minimally invasive surgery using state-of-the-art technology that involves smaller incisions and faster recovery. Dr. Palmer is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Neil Ghany, M.D., a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspeciality certification in hand surgery, brings more than 20 years of experience. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn where he would later serve as chief resident at Kings County Hospital. Dr. Ghany completed his fellowship training in Hand Surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System.

These two hires enhance the firm’s capabilities, that in addition to surgery, include an open MRI machine, digital X-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, as well as occupational therapy.

It’s an exciting time for the practice. “We’re growing to provide more coverage for South Florida,” says Dr. Esmaeili, who is affiliated with Boca Raton Regional Hospital, West Boca Medical Center, Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery and Laser Center and Delray Beach Surgical Suites.
